Premiere Design Studio was tasked with creating innovative workspaces for Old Mutual Insure to encourage staff to return to the office post-pandemic. Through extensive surveys, we identified key factors that kept employees from coming back, allowing us to design spaces that incorporated the “creature comforts” they enjoyed at home. This led to the development of our Hybrid Work Pods, versatile spaces that accommodate meetings, collaboration, focused work, and even dining. Strategically positioned in the shared internal pedestrian street, these Pods foster collaboration across departments, drawing employees into the communal areas for meetings and work away from their dedicated desks. Remarkably, our design efforts resulted in nearly 90% of staff returning to the building within just two months.
